I don't usually write emails

Organizing for Action
Joe --

I'm the chief of staff at OFA, which means I'm constantly looking at our operations budget -- what I don't usually do is write you emails.

But I'll do whatever it takes to make sure staff and volunteers have everything they need to keep the organization running full-steam ahead.

Right now, that means asking you to chip in $5 or more before our critical September 30th fundraising deadline.

I'll let you in on something: We have a pretty ambitious plan for the coming months. We've run the numbers, and we need about 25,000 grassroots donations between now and midnight on September 30th.

I think we can make it happen.

If you break that down by congressional district, that means we need just 95 more donations from NY-09 before Monday night.

Here's why this matters:

In the fights we're in, the cards are stacked against us -- the special-interest groups have unbelievable budgets. Think about the Koch brothers, who are on a personal mission to tear down Obamacare. Or the gun lobby, which fought tooth and nail against common-sense gun violence prevention measures.

We'll never have the cash they do -- but when we've got grassroots supporters like you putting action behind their support, we don't need to go dollar-for-dollar.

Really.

Help reach our goal, person by person.

Chip in $5 or more today:

P.S. -- Here's a little bonus: When you donate $5 or more before Monday's deadline, you'll be recognized on the OFA Donor Wall on BarackObama.com. Get your name on there today.

The other side will spend millions to maintain the status quo. We're fighting for change -- chip in $5 or more to support OFA today.
